Connect managed Google Play

A one-off step before enrolling Google-managed devices or personal phones.

Time needed: about 10 minutes, once. You need: an admin account, and a Google account your organisation controls.

Managed Google Play links your organisation to Google's service for managing Android devices. You need it to enrol devices that Google manages and personal phones with a work profile, and to deliver apps from Google Play. Agent devices enrolled by QR code don't need it.

Steps

  1. Decide which Google account will own the link. Use a work account your IT team controls, not a personal Gmail address that leaves with someone.
  2. In the console, go to Settings → Integrations and select Connect Managed Google Play.
  3. Google's sign-up opens. Sign in with that account and follow Google's steps, including your organisation's name.
  4. Google sends you back to the console. It shows Managed Google Play connected and the enterprise it is linked to.

Do all of this in one browser, without switching to another halfway through.

Check it worked
