Integrations
Connecting managed Google Play.
Settings → Integrations connects your organisation to managed Google Play, Google's service for managing Android devices for businesses. Once connected you can:
- enrol company-owned Android devices that Google manages, with no agent installed;
- enrol staff's personal phones with a work profile;
- browse Google Play from the Apps screen and have apps installed silently.
Agent devices and Windows devices don't need it.
Connecting
- Go to Settings → Integrations and select Connect Managed Google Play.
- Google opens its sign-up. Sign in with the Google account that should own your organisation's enterprise, and follow Google's steps. A work account your IT team controls is best.
- Google sends you back to the console, which shows Managed Google Play connected and the enterprise it is linked to.
Finish the steps in the same browser you started in. If Google sends you back to a different browser, the console can't match the sign-up to your organisation; select Reconnect Managed Google Play and do it again in one browser.
The Connect managed Google Play runbook has the full walkthrough.
If access is lost
If the enterprise is deleted or unlinked on Google's side, the console shows Access lost: enrolling Google-managed devices and updating their policies stop working. Reconnect Managed Google Play links a new enterprise. Devices enrolled under the old one have to be enrolled again.
Connecting needs the Manage settings permission. Admins have it.
